Privacy Policy — BlockSim
BlockSim ("we", "us", or "the App") provides an AI-assisted crypto strategy simulation platform with leaderboards and AI chat for generating custom strategies. This Privacy Policy explains how we use the two permissions requested by the App (Network access and Notifications) and how we handle data.
1. App Permissions (Network & Notifications)
Network access is required for:
- Fetching market and blockchain data used in simulations.
- Synchronizing leaderboard and performance metrics to our servers.
- Connecting to optional AI services when you use the AI chat feature to generate strategies (only if you opt into that feature).
- Checking for app updates and downloading non-personal configuration data.
Notification permission is used to:
- Deliver optional alerts such as leaderboard updates, simulation results, or feature notifications.
- Provide in-app reminders or service messages. You may disable notifications at any time in your device settings.
2. Personal Data
By default, BlockSim is designed to minimize personal data collection. We do not collect or store personal identity data (name, email, phone number, photos, biometric data) unless you explicitly provide such information through a feature that asks for it. Core simulation and AI features can be used without creating an account.
3. What We May Collect
When you use network-enabled features, we may process the following non-personal information:
- Simulation and leaderboard metrics (display name you choose, strategy performance, ROI, timestamps).
- App and device metadata necessary for operation (app version, device model, OS version).
- Crash reports and anonymized usage logs to improve stability (if you opt into diagnostics).
If you choose to use the AI chat that uses external AI services, the text of your prompts and the generated responses may be transmitted to the AI provider as described when you enable that feature. You will be informed and required to opt in where applicable.
4. Local Processing
Whenever possible, simulations and strategy calculations are performed locally on your device. Local data (user settings, local simulation histories) remains on your device unless you explicitly choose to share or publish strategy results to the public leaderboard.
5. Leaderboards and Public Data
If you publish performance to public leaderboards, the following information may be shown publicly:
- Public display name (you can select an anonymous name)
- Strategy performance metrics (profit, ROI, win rate)
- Ranking period (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly)
Leaderboard entries do not include personal contact details. You may request removal of a leaderboard entry via the contact information below.
6. Third-Party Services
BlockSim may use third-party services for market data, AI model hosting, and crash/analytics reporting. These services may process data as described in their own privacy policies. When an external AI provider is used, any prompts or inputs you submit to the AI will be transmitted to that provider only with your consent.
Facebook SDK. BlockSim integrates the Facebook SDK for analytics and attribution. The Facebook SDK may collect device identifiers, app events, and crash data as described in Facebook's Data Policy. We do not receive your Facebook account password or direct social graph data from this SDK.
7. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect data transmitted to our servers, including transport layer encryption. We do not store personal identity information by default. Local data is stored on your device and can be cleared from the App settings.
8. Children
BlockSim is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. Your Rights & Controls
- Disable Network or Notifications: You may revoke network or notification permissions via your device settings (note: disabling network access will limit app functionality).
- Leaderboard Removal: If you want a leaderboard entry removed, contact us as listed below.
- Data Requests: If you believe we hold personal data about you and wish to request access or deletion, contact us and we will respond according to applicable law.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The revised policy will include a new effective date. Continued use of the App after changes indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
